During the Summer of 2008 the employee will study the ensemble properties of massive galaxies at redshifts for 1.5 to 3 and will work on developing a new technique for modeling the ensemble broad-band rest-frame ultraviolet to near infrared properties of high redshift galaxies.  Once developed and tested the employee will obtain constraints on the stellar population age, star formation rate, star formation history, and dust content of a large sample of high redshift galaxies and correlate these with galaxy color and stellar mass.  The galaxies are selected from pre-existing surveys such as GOODS, FIRES, and MUSYC, for which Gregory Rudnick has access to all the data.
