The Assistant Scientist will support the research described in the proposal: “Heliosesimic Studies with MDI”.  This research includes searching for helioseismic indicators of emerging active regions, analyzing solar cycle-related changes in the oscillation parameters, and investigating the properties of the solar atmosphere.

 

Requirements: Ph.D. in physics or astronomy, with 5 years of research experience in helioseismology or astroseismology. Experience must include computer programming and scientific data analysis.
